On December 25th, the 8-day 2017 National Undergraduate Women’s Indoor Futsal Championships was successfully concluded at the Qinhuangdao Training Base (China Football School) of General Administration of Sports. Our women’s football players participated in the super group competition with hard work. In the group stage, they pressed the Beijing Sports University team to win the first place. In the eight-in-four elimination tournament, they defeated the Tianjin Urban Construction University team and eliminated Jiangnan University team in the semi-finals. In the end, our women’s team gathered the Beijing Normal University team which was crowded with football players in the finals, but unfortunately we lost the opponent to the runner-up in this competition.

The competition was hosted by the Sports Association of the Ministry of Education and attracted nearly 500 athletes from 29 colleges and universities from all over the country. Our school team, composed of students from School of Teacher Education and School of Management, was led by Wang Wunian of the Sports Department and coached by Feng Cong and Sun Jian. The ‘Rose Spirit’ of Jiangda Women’s Football Team had once again blossomed on the national sports arena. It was hoped that they would continue to make great achievements for the school.
