"Jiangda Cup" basketball match of the 16th sports games of Jiangsu University came to an end in the gymnasium on April 22. About 500 athletes from different colleges, including 22 men’s teams and 18 women’s teams, participated in this competition, which lasted for four weeks. During the exciting competition, the athletes struggled hard and the audience cheered for them. At last, teams from School of Energy and Power Engineering and School of Mechanical Engineering respectively won the male and female championships. Teams from School of Material Science and Engineering, Jingjiang College, School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering, School of Electrical and Information Engineering, School of Mechanical Engineering, School of Automotive and Traffic Engineering and School of Medicine were awarded the second to eighth place among men’s teams while teams from Jingjiang College, Overseas Education College, School of Energy and Power Engineering, School of Material Science and Engineering, School of Pharmacy, School of Finance and Economics and School of Computer Science and Communication Engineering were awarded the second to eighth place among women’s teams.

All the teams were divided into four groups. After the group cycling, the top two teams of each group entered the semifinal and then the final. The campus basketball game provides a good communication platform for the colleges to enhance the emotion and cohesiveness. Moreover, this basketball game indicates the teaching results of basketball courses as selective courses in our school, reflecting the positive and courageous spirit of our college students.
