The track and field event of university department in the 19th sports meeting of Jiangsu Province was held in Nanjing University from May 3rd to 8th. Our track and field team participated in the competition of Group B of the first division. After five days of hard work, our athletes did not fear strong opponents and eventually won 9 gold medals, 4 silver medals and 8 bronze medals. Moreover, our men’s and women’s group got 203 scores in total, which caused us to receive an excellent result of the group runner-up.

In this competition, our track and field team received 9 gold medals owing to Li Ning, from School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering, Zhang Bin, from School of Material Science and Engineering, Jin Jun, from Faculty of Science, Feng Yan, from School of Energy and Power Engineering, Guo Ruxin and Wang Rongsha, from School of Finance and Economics and other students won the championship in Men’s 400 Meters, Men’s 800 Meters, Men’s 400 Meters Hurdles, Women’s Long Jump, Women’s 1500 Meters, Women’s 800 Meters, Women’s 3,000 Meters Walking, Women’s 5,000 Meters Walking and Men’s 4x400 meters.
