On the morning of November 2, the opening ceremony of the 17th sports meeting was held in Dongshan playground. Secretary of the Party Committee Yuan Shouqi, president Yan Xiaohong,and other university leaders,more than 5,000 teachers and students from various colleges and trade unions attended the opening ceremony. Vice-president Mei Qiang presided over the ceremony.
